Whatever it Takes

What price are you willing to pay to achieve your goals and live the life you want to live? If your answer is not whatever it takes then you seriously need to re-evaluate your goals and where you are at in life.

Changing your life and going for something you have never done before is not going to be easy. There will be challenges, risks and difficulties along the way. There will be times where you want to quit and take the easy way out. The easy way out is to go back to whatever it was that you were doing prior to making an attempt at your goals. That is what you know and are comfortable with and that is why it is the easy way out.

Only those that have strong will power, determination, perseverance and a strong work ethic will succeed. When things get rough and don’t go your way, what are you going to do? Many people would just quit and say “well at least I tried.”

If you are reading this though I have a feeling that that is not what you would do. There are lots of options available to you and quitting does not have to be one of them.

You can start by asking for support. I am sure that there are people that you know that can point you in the right direction or can introduce you to someone that can help you. It is definitely not a journey you have to travel on your own. Asking for support is out of a lot of people’s comfort zones, myself included, but if we do not ask then the answer will always be no. It is always easier to accomplish goals when we work together.

Will you be willing to step out of your comfort zone to make it happen? Not only to just ask for support but for many other things as well. If you are starting a business, just the art of selling is out of a lot of people’s comfort zones. Everything we want is out of our comfort zones. I know this because if it was in our comfort zones then we would already have it. Will you be willing to get uncomfortable to change your life?

Will you be willing to stay up late and get up early to work on your goals? Will you be willing to invest in yourself instead of buying a new phone or shoes? Will you be willing to say no to social activities because you want to take a class that help you move forward? Will you be willing to change the people that you hang around with in order to learn from others that are living the lifestyle you want? Remember we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with. Who are you spending time with?

Are you willing to change every single aspect of your life to get to where you want to be? Are you willing to change your eating habits and your exercise routine? Having a healthy body is a big step towards reaching your goals. An unhealthy body will usually manifest as mental blocks that will hinder your progress. Keeping a healthy body will help keep you on track.

Are you willing to limit the amount of time you spend watching t.v or even eliminating it all together? Are you willing to start reading 30 minutes a day instead?

There will be times where you will have to do things that you don’t want to do in order to get to where you want to be. This does not mean you have failed or that you are compromising your beliefs. It just means that you are willing to do whatever it takes in order to get where you want to be.

For example. I just started looking for a job because I need to make more money than I currently am. I really felt bad about this as I never wanted to have another job again in my life. It definitely felt like a failure to even have to think about finding a job. Then I took some time to reflect on this and realized that it is only temporary. Lots of people have jobs while they are building their business on the side.

It is better to have a job and know I have a certain amount coming in every month than it is too always be in mystery and struggling to make ends meet. When you change your perspective it makes doing things easier. This was a big realization for myself.

So what is it that you are and are not willing to do? Is there anything that you have been putting off that you know if you did it that it would get you where you need to be? Why haven’t you done it yet? What is holding you back?

I would recommend to even just take some time in reflection or meditation and think about these questions. Think about why you want to change and how bad you want that change. What will life be like when you make these changes?
